Square Roots
We already know that a number multiplied by itself is a square (refer to Squares)
The square root works the other way: where you have the resulting square, and you want to find the number that is multiplied by itself to get the square
Square | 32 = 3 × 3 = 9 |
Square root | √9 = 3 |
Square root can also be written as | 9½ = 3 |
