Factors
Factors are the numbers you multiply together to get a larger number, which also include 1 and that larger number:
- Example 1. The factors of 6 are 1, 2, 3 and 6
- Example 2. The factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12
...because 2 x 3 = 6, or 1 x 6 = 6
... because 2 x 6 = 12, or 4 x 3 = 12, or 1 x 12 = 12
