Rule 3 − Multiplying Fractions
Multiply the numerators, and multiply the denominators. Then simplify if necessary.
- Example 3.1. 4/5 × 2/5 = 8/25
- Example 3.2. 5/10 × 2/10 = 10/100 = 1/10
- Example 3.3. 6/7 × 1/4 = 6/28 = 3/14
- Example 3.4. 1/3 × 2/9 = 2/27
