Dividing Fractions
There are four steps:
Example 1. 1/2 ÷ 3/4 =
Example 2. 2/3 ÷ 5/6 =
(a) swap the numerator and denominator of the second fraction around
(b) change the ÷ to a ×
1/2 × 4/3 =
(c) multiply the numerators, and multiply the denominators
= 4/6
(d) write fraction in its simplest form
= 2/3
